Beatrix Potter: A Series of Illustrated Talks presented by Betsy Bray

While everyone else is battening down for fall rainstorms we here at the library have been visiting Beatrix Potter's Hill Top Farm in England's Lake District.

Beatrix Potter, beloved children's writer and illustrator, created books that will forever add an appreciation for nature for all readers. We have been learning about the life and times of this extraordinary woman. Speaker Betsy Bray is a member of the Beatrix Potter Society who has served as a docent at her home Hill Top Farm in England's Lake District. She has been introducing audiences to the woman behind the beloved children's books for over twenty-five years.

So far we have seen and heard about Beatrix Potter: Artist Storyteller Countrywoman and Beatrix Potter’s Hedgehogs. On November 2, Wednesday, at 2 pm we'll hear about Beatrix Potter her art influences; and on November 8, Tuesday at 7 pm we'll hear about Ms. Bray's favorite character Jemima Puddle- duck.
